+The Curriculum Team @ The AI Education Project
+What after school activity would you enjoy the most?
+Have you ever been bored after school? Ever been told by your parents that you need to get a life? We certainly have! We created this project to help people figure out what after school activity or club would be most interesting to them. Sometimes it can be hard to get motivated to try something new. It seems like everyone else has it all figured out and they know exactly what they're doing. This survey can help you figure out what you might enjoy after school based on some stuff you already know about yourself. We found that it really matters whether you consider yourself a competitive person or not when you're choosing an after school activity, which really surprised us. If you answer the survey honestly, you may not get a perfect solution, but at least you'll know our recommendation is based on data from 100s of people.
+The data for this model was collected on Amazon's Mechanical Turk! Mechanical Turk allows you to get a lot of survey responses quickly by paying people for their time. People can make a bit of extra money by completing short tasks while they ride the bus to work or wait for a friend, or even just to avoid boredom. You must be 18 years or older to be a worker.
+Data privacy: some of the questions might be considered personal, like how social you are. It might be considered awkward to talk about how social you are with a stranger, because it can be a touchy subject for some people. But we decided that this project would help people overall, so we included it. We informed people about how their data would be used so they could decide whether they wanted to share their info or not with us.
+Bias: you may never know what kinds of bias there are in your data. For example, maybe guys are recommended the sports option more than girls are. One thing we realized after creating this project was that we would have no way of knowing info like that, because we didn't ask people for their gender. We're aware there could be some biases like that. Ultimately it's important to know that our data is just a small sample of people and isn't super accurate. It's just a suggestion for something you might enjoy. Hopefully you are able to judge for yourself whether the recommended activity would actually be a good fit for you or not.
